Hello! My name is Stephen.
I graduated in Fine Art from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. Anglesey is where I have lived and worked for most of my life. The wild landscapes of North Wales give me a lot of my inspiration. Catalunya is another place I love. For this reason, and the love of the people who live there, I am currently learning Spanish and Catalan. Recently, I have been exploring fantasy art. As a result of being introduced to Dungeons and Dragons, I am enjoying discovering how to create digital artwork. This has been an opportunity to develop my skills in drawing figures; helping me to further diversify my skills.
After graduating, I began studying plumbing. I like to explore various methods of creating and expression. As such, I took part in a community silk painting art project. The final outcome of the project was the creation of an art installation in the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth, on the theme of local identity. I found the medium different from other flat media and the behaviour of the paint was exciting.
